How Do We Meet Online?
Sessions will be conducted online using Microsoft Teams. You’ll receive an email invitation that includes a link to the meeting and instructions for downloading the software to your device (tablet, phone, or computer).
What Happens if I Need to Cancel or Change an Appointment?
A minimum of 24-hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you miss a session without providing this notice, the full session fee will be charged. To cancel, you can decline the meeting invitation or send an email.
Are the Sessions Confidential?
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our work together. All sessions are confidential, with the following exceptions:
· I may discuss aspects of my work with a supervisor for ethical and professional development, but any details shared are anonymised.
· In rare and exceptional cases, such as when you or others might be at risk of harm, I may need to break confidentiality. However, I will always try to discuss this with you before taking any action.
How Do I Prepare for My Online Sessions?
To get the most out of your online therapy sessions, I recommend the following:
· Choose a private, quiet space where you won’t be disturbed.
· Turn off any other devices to reduce distractions.
· Set up your device in a hands-free position with adequate lighting, ensuring you remain visible during our session.
Fees
Each session costs £65 and typically last 50 minutes (therapeutic hour).
I offer a block booking discount of 15% for 6 sessions – £331.50
I do have a number of concessionary slots for students/those on low income; these may not be immediately available but enquiries are welcome.
Frequency of Sessions
The frequency of therapy sessions is customised to meet each individual’s needs. Initially, meeting weekly is beneficial to promote progress and achieve the best outcomes. Most therapists recommend a minimum of biweekly sessions, as infrequent meetings can hinder progress and prolong the therapy duration. The process should be rewarding rather than burdensome, as it represents a continuous journey toward personal growth.
Some clients may opt for longer-term therapy, while others may find that 6 to 8 sessions are sufficient. During the initial consultation, we will work together to determine the most suitable approach for you, and I will regularly check in to ensure that the sessions are effective. You have the autonomy to conclude therapy whenever you wish.
